Nonprofit websites, brought up to date.

We make older sites faster, easier to find in search and AI answers, accessible, and clear about how to give.

Fix list

Sample

  1. Fix first

Donate appears only in the footer. Put it in the header on every page, with the same word each time.

  2. Fix first

Photos load at full camera size. Resize and compress them so pages open quickly on a phone.

  3. Next

Your address and hours differ from page to page. Use one version everywhere and add it as structured data.

  4. Next

The volunteer form has no visible labels. Add labels, and error messages that say what to fix.

From a sample fix list, not a client's. Yours is written for your site after the free review.

What we do for nonprofit websites

We look at six parts of your site and fix what holds it back.

Bring an older site up to date

We update dated layouts, fix broken links and pages, and retire plugins that slow the site or leave it exposed. The result looks current on a phone and stays easy for your team to edit.

Search (SEO)

Clear titles and descriptions, headings that match what people search for, a site map, and redirects when pages move. Plain pages that say what you do and where you do it.

AI answers (GEO and AEO)

People now ask AI assistants and answer engines where to volunteer or who helps nearby. Generative engine optimization and answer engine optimization make your site easy for those tools to read and cite: clear facts, structured data, and your name, address and programs written the same way everywhere.

Speed

Slow pages lose people, especially on phones. We resize images, remove scripts you don't need and set up caching, so pages load quickly on an ordinary mobile connection.

Accessibility

We work to WCAG 2.2 AA: readable contrast, full keyboard access, labeled forms, and text alternatives for images and video. We check with automated tools and by hand, with a keyboard and a screen reader.

A clearer path to give

Donate should be easy to find from every page, with few steps between the button and the gift and a plain line on what a gift does. Your donation platform stays yours; we make the way to it clearer.

How it works

  1. A free review

Tell us about your site with the form below. We look at it the way a visitor, a search engine, an AI assistant and a screen reader would.

  2. A written fix list

You get a plain-language list of what to fix, most important first, with what each fix involves. It's yours to keep whether or not you hire us.

  3. A sprint or a retainer

If you want us to do the work, choose a sprint to fix the top of the list in about three weeks, or a monthly retainer to work down all of it and keep the site current as new needs come up.

Pricing

Every plan starts with the free review, and your fix list ends with the plan we'd suggest and why. Prices are in US dollars.

Questions about pricing

What does it cost?

The review is free. A website sprint is $2,500, one time. The retainers run month to month: Nonprofit care is $1,500 a month and Weekly partner is $5,000 a month.

What counts as a revision?

Any change to your website: new words or images, a page, a section, a form, a layout, a fix. Big work, like a redesign, is split into smaller requests and done in order, so it moves forward every week.

How quickly is a revision done?

We work on one request at a time, in the order you set, and you can add to the list or reorder it whenever you like. Small changes go live within two business days, and bigger ones get a date before we start. On Weekly partner, your requests come first.

Who owns our site?

You do. Your site, its code, your domain, your content and every account stay in your name, and you can move them whenever you like. We work through access you give us, and you can take it back at any time.

Can we pause or cancel?

Yes. The retainers run month to month, with no contract and no fee to leave. Tell us before your next month starts, and the pause or the cancellation begins then. Everything we've made stays yours.

Is hosting included?

On a retainer, we set up and look after your hosting: releases, backups, security updates and uptime. The hosting account and its bill stay in your name, like your domain, so you're never locked out.

Who it’s for

  • Nonprofits whose website was built years ago and shows it.
  • Small teams without a web developer on staff.
  • Organizations that count on their site for gifts, volunteers and sign-ups.
  • Sites on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, Drupal or built by hand.

If we're not the right fit for your site, the review will say so.

Questions

Is QuantOps part of Tailmates?

No. It's a separate company. The same person founded both.

Can you guarantee rankings or traffic?

No. No one can promise that honestly. What we can do is make your site faster, clearer and easier for search engines and AI assistants to read.

What are GEO and AEO?

Generative engine optimization and answer engine optimization. They make your site easy for AI assistants and answer engines to read and cite, with clear facts, structured data and consistent names.
